How to adopt
As from June 2010
Please note that we have taken the decision not to allow our rescued piggies to go to homes with children under the age of 9 years. We realise this will stop alot of people rehoming a rescued animal from us but at all times priority is with the well being of the animal. Some of these piggies have been through horrendous situations so they deserve the very best. This is our decision and it is has been made for the piggies. Please remember these piggies are not toys and so we wont allow them to be treated as toys.
So if you have children over the age of 9 please read on, if not then we would love to hear from you once your child has grown! If you can convince me that your child under the age of 9 will be supervised whilst around the piggies or whilst holding then there can be exceptions.
We dont have all the piggies on the website so we may have more that we just haven't put on.
If you text 0790 9970195 and say you are interested in a piggie or piggies then someone will call you back (please note that it may take a while, like 24 hours to call back unless your case is an emergency)
We never let an un neutured male and female go together, we will let an un neutured male go with a baby boy. We dont allow single piggies to go either, they need other piggie company.
So...........if you would like to be considered please do get intouch.
A homecheck will be carried out just to see where the piggies will be homed, please dont think of this as an inspection of your home, this is to make sure the piggies have a good home of their own.
Adoption fee
The rescue would be very glad of a donation for each pig, suggested minimum amount of £15 per pig or if you rehome a bonded pair £25.
A neutured boy donation to be minimum of £30. Just the cost of the operation is around £60.
Rabbit adoption fee recommended £30 for a single bunny or £55 for a pair. Vaccinations cost the rescue £14.80 alone so donations are very welcome to help cover the costs of both vaccinations and neutering.
We are keen to endorse the Animal Welfare Act 2006 with regard to duty of care and housing.
